Joining the family firm at Hagen & Hagen, P.A. and practicing law since 1994 with his father, Kevin L. Hagen, handles commercial and residential real estate and other transactional work relating to corporate and business relations. For more than 50 years, the law firm has assisted individual and investors with purchases from homes, townhouses and condominiums to warehouses, office buildings and shopping centers.
In addition, the law firm provides legal assistance in connection with bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions, family, probate, guardianship and estate planning issues. He also assists with the general litigation matters, including personal injury and consumer-related cases.
After graduating with honors from the University of Florida, Mr. Hagen attended law school at Nova Southeastern University. After admitted to the Florida Bar, Mr. Hagen served on several bar committees including Law School Liaison and Consumer Protection Law.
Among his legal certifications, Mr. Hagen is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
For some time, Kevin has also been a member of the American Bar Association, National Consumer Law Center, the Broward County Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
Kevin’s past and present community service includes volunteer services for the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, board membership of the American Cancer Society and extensive pro bono services through Miami-Dade County’s Put Something Back program. During the last general election, he was also elected as a Democratic Party Precinct Committeeman.
Other education and business certifications include licensure with the National Association of Securities Dealers as a registered representative and uniform securities agent; Florida Department of Insurance; Florida Real Estate Commission; Florida public adjuster; Florida Supreme Court as a certified circuit mediator and qualified arbitrator; and State of Florida Record Locator with the Division of Accounting, Bureau of Unclaimed Property. Additionally, Kevin is certified as a FIBA and NBA basketball agent.
As a certified mediator, Kevin has served on mediation panels for the Collins Center for Public Policy Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program and selected for mediations through the Mortgage Modification Mediation program through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
As a certified title agent, Kevin is an agent with underwriters including Stewart Title Guaranty Company and North American Title Insurance Company. As such, he has participated in various Stewart Title and Attorneys Title and Florida Bar seminars.
During his legal career, Kevin has represented various banks, investment companies and financial institutions, including Dial Bank, Norwest Bank, River Bank South and Bank Leumi, in real estate transactions and legal proceedings including foreclosure, interpleader, surplus, replevin, credit card and collection actions.
Kevin is also known as the Good Credit Lawyer by helping clients including investors, business people, consumers and everyone who wants to keep their credit as good as they can all the time.
